How to take a reading
1. Power on and position
Press the “ON/MEM” button to turn on the thermometer, then hold it 1 to 2 inches (3 to 5 cm) from the center of the forehead.2. Take the reading
Press the “Scan” button to measure. The result appears in one second with color-coded feedback: green (normal), yellow (elevated), or red (high).3. Power off or review
Press “ON/MEM” to review up to 25 stored readings, or let the thermometer automatically power off after 1 minute of inactivity.
